Born and raised on Vancouver Island, Teri Young spent her formative years teaching in the Nisga’a School District, where she developed an understanding of the struggles and resilience of Indigenous communities in British Columbia. Teri ran a software distribution company for over 30 years and is passionate about supporting local farmers, advocating for climate resilience, and creating a more sustainable future. Now living on a small hobby farm in Cowichan Bay, she is dedicated to addressing the challenges posed by extreme weather and advocating for small businesses.
