Tamás Revóczi
Richmond-BridgeportTamás Revóczi, the son of Hungarian political refugees, embodies the resilience and adaptability that define British Columbia’s diverse communities. His journey from a gifted student and musician in Burnaby, via decades of language, technology and design teaching both locally and abroad, to a community leader on Sea Island in Richmond Bridgeport reflects his wide-ranging experiences in education, media, athletics, and technology. Tamas is a cancer survivor as well as a physical and mental health advocate, which has deepened his commitment to accessible healthcare and robust support systems for all British Columbians.
As a former BC Provincial Sabre Fencing Team member and a current competitive Masters running athlete with BC Athletics, Tamás understands the critical importance of Sport in BC in developing and maintaining lifelong physical/mental fitness, health and wellness to prevent health problems proactively rather than solely reactively. He is also an active member of a handful of Lower Mainland running clubs and is a promoter, volunteer and podcaster for the Moustache Miler, a local Movember event supporting Men’s physical and mental health.
Tamás has demonstrated his leadership skills as President of the Sea Island Community Association, where he successfully brings people together to address local issues and drive positive change. His campaign for the BC Green Party focuses on sustainable development, improved public transportation, and policies that support families and small businesses. Tamás’ dedication to environmental stewardship and social justice aligns closely with the core values of the BC Greens.
As a Burkeville, Sea Island resident, Tamás has fallen in love with this hidden gem of a community and its diverse range of animal and plant life, deep sense of history and strong community spirit! He will also be the first ever MLA Candidate for the riding since Arthur Laing!
If elected, Tamás aims to bring his passion for community engagement and consensus-building to the role, advocating for a healthier, greener, more inclusive British Columbia. His leadership promises to reflect the diverse needs of the communities he serves, ensuring that all voices are heard and considered equally.
