Selected to run as the BC Greens Candidate in 2020, Nicole entered the race late and came in a close second with 31% of the vote. She then easily won the City Councillor seat in the Nelson by-election with 75% of the vote and the highest-ever youth turnout.
Nicole has been working tirelessly to be your next MLA by traveling across the new Kootenay Central riding, engaging in thoughtful discussions about critical issues that affect everyone. Her focus remains on political representation, rural healthcare, affordability, water security, and housing for workers and young families—issues that are at the forefront of our shared priorities. She has worked in government for ministries of education, industry and trade and Elections Canada and held the roles of Board Chair, Treasurer and Executive Director in several non-profit organizations.
