She holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Analysis and Management from Royal Roads University and has worked extensively in restorative justice. Lia’s career includes roles as a US Federal Marshal, Licensed Private Investigator, and mediator, where she has consistently demonstrated her ability to resolve complex disputes with calm and reasoned dialogue.
A lifelong advocate for marginalized communities, Lia is deeply committed to issues of social justice. She has worked tirelessly to support persons with disabilities, gender-diverse individuals, and those living in poverty. Her minimalist lifestyle reflects her commitment to sustainability, from growing her own food to repurposing materials. Lia has deep roots in Vancouver Island, having first moved there in 1971, and remains passionate about serving the community she has long called home.
