Vancouver-Fraserview
Françoise Raunet (she/her) is a dedicated advocate for environmental protection, social justice, and democratic reform. With over 25 years of experience in education and community service, she is currently a district support teacher for the Vancouver School Board, where she has seen firsthand the effects of decades of underfunding in BC’s schools and hospitals.
Fluent in French and English, and conversant in Spanish and Mandarin, Françoise brings a diverse perspective to her work. She has experienced the housing crisis personally, living in co-op housing while watching friends and colleagues leave BC due to skyrocketing rents.
As Vancouver-Fraserview’s first Green MLA, Françoise will work across party lines to tackle housing affordability, strengthen education and healthcare, protect the environment, and build resilient public infrastructure. She will also advocate for renewable energy, local food production, and support for small businesses.
