Elodie Vaudandaine

Richmond-Steveston

The BC Greens are thrilled to announce Elodie Vaudandaine as their candidate for Richmond-Steveston.

Elodie grew up in Victoria, where her passion for politics and community organizing took root. From a young age, she attended municipal meetings and became actively involved in climate justice initiatives, advocating for the protection of old-growth forests in areas such as Fairy Creek.

Currently, Elodie is pursuing a dual bachelor’s degree between the Paris Institute of Political Studies and the University of British Columbia (UBC). Her studies in political science in Europe, coupled with her sociology degree at UBC, have provided her with a unique perspective on social issues. She is eager to bring her international experience back to her home province, focusing on the changes needed for a more equitable and just British Columbia.

Elodie has a strong background in advocacy, having worked with Pride associations globally. As a queer individual, she passionately champions LGBTQ2SIA+ rights and supports the ban on conversion therapy in British Columbia. Her commitment to inclusion and equity is at the core of her political vision.

Deeply inspired by the history of Steveston, Elodie aims to help foster a thriving community by engaging local youth in policy discussions. She believes that her education and experience in non-profits will be invaluable in pushing for bold climate and social justice reforms. Electing Elodie Vaudandaine means choosing a representative dedicated to a fairer, more sustainable future for all British Columbians.
