Victoria, BC / Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Territory – The BC Green Party is delighted to introduce six new candidates for the 2024 B.C. election. These candidates bring a wealth of diverse experiences across agriculture, healthcare, business, education, and community activism. With their combined expertise, they are prepared to lead British Columbia toward a future focused on sustainability, equity, and innovative solutions.
Sonia Furstenau, Leader of the BC Greens, shared her thoughts on the new slate of candidates: “This team of candidates represents the bold, compassionate and rational leadership that British Columbia urgently needs. They are driven by a shared commitment to building resilient communities, tackling the climate crisis head-on, and ensuring that every British Columbian has the opportunity to thrive. These candidates represent a diverse cross-section of British Columbia and will advocate for policies that prioritize environmental sustainability, economic resilience, and social justice.
Archie Kaario is a semi-retired lawyer and environmental advocate running for West Vancouver-Capilano.
Amy Fox brings a background in advocacy for trans inclusion and equity-seeking groups to Vancouver-Kensington.
Gwen Johansson brings extensive experience in energy policy and local governance to Prince George-Valemount.
Kevin Eastwood focuses on agriculture, healthcare, and community well-being in Boundary-Similkameen.
Lucas Janusz combines project management experience with a deep commitment to fighting climate change in Coquitlam-Burke Mountain.
Nick Dickinson-Wilde focuses on community safety, environmental protection, and healthcare in Delta North.

Archie Kaario – West Vancouver Capilano
Archie Kaario has over 40 years of experience in law and environmental advocacy. A geography graduate and practicing lawyer, Archie’s work has ranged from family and criminal law to environmental law. He is dedicated to addressing climate change and supporting sustainable policies for the future.
Amy Fox – Vancouver Kensington
Amy Fox has a long history of social advocacy, including leading efforts to divest the Simon Fraser Student Society from corrupt organizations and advancing trans rights in British Columbia. As the founder of Trembling Void Studios, Amy has created genre films centred on equity-seeking groups. They bring a bold and humanitarian approach to leadership and governance.
Gwen Johansson – Prince George-Valemount
Born and raised in McBride, Gwen Johansson has extensive experience in education and local governance, having served as mayor of Hudson’s Hope. She played a key role in implementing renewable energy projects and infrastructure development. Gwen’s deep knowledge of energy policy and public administration makes her a strong advocate for the region.
Kevin Eastwood – Boundary Similkameen
Kevin Eastwood has a diverse background in agriculture and paramedicine. He believes that each election is a vital opportunity to ask ourselves what we value most for future generations. Kevin’s pragmatic approach to reducing harm, fostering community, and making responsible, accountable decisions defines his candidacy.
Lucas Janusz –Coquitlam-Burke Mountain
Lucas Janusz came to Canada at 15 and graduated from UBC with a degree in psychology. A project manager in the renovation industry, Lucas is passionate about fighting climate change and believes political activism is key to a sustainable future. He is honoured to be a BC Green candidate and is committed to a people-first approach in politics.
Nick Dickinson-Wilde – Delta North
Nick Dickinson-Wilde is a small business owner, karate teacher, and certified judge with a lifetime of community involvement. Nick’s focus includes improving road safety, environmental protection, and increasing healthcare access. As a new parent, Nick is particularly dedicated to enhancing safety for children in Delta North.
