BC Greens Announce Candidates for Vancouver Renfrew, North Island, Penticton-Summerland, and Prince George North Cariboo
Victoria, BC / Lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Territory – The BC Green Party is excited to introduce four new candidates for the upcoming 2024 B.C. election: Bradley Bartsch for Penticton-Summerland, Lawrence Taylor for Vancouver Renfrew, Nic Dedeluk for North Island, and Randy Thompson for Prince George North Cariboo.
Sonia Furstenau, Leader of the BC Greens, shared her enthusiasm for the candidates: “Bradley, Lawrence, Nic, and Randy reflect the heart of the BC Green movement—people who understand that our future depends on meaningful action. Each of them brings a unique perspective, from deep environmental expertise to lived experience with economic challenges. What sets them apart is their unwavering commitment to push for policies that work for people and the planet. I am energized by their vision and look forward to working alongside them as we fight for a better future for all British Columbians.”
Bradley Bartsch, running for Penticton-Summerland, is passionate about tapping into the region’s potential for environmental and economic prosperity. His focus on community-driven development aligns with the BC Greens’ vision for a sustainable future.
Lawrence Taylor, a long-time Green advocate, has spent four years serving in the BC Greens’ Vancouver Riding Association and ran as a candidate in the 2019 federal election. His expertise in public relations and regulatory affairs uniquely positions him to advocate for his Vancouver Renfrew community.
Nic Dedeluk, a marine biologist with over 24 years of experience in environmental conservation, is committed to advocating for sustainable policies on the North Island. Her extensive work with nonprofits and local governments equips her to address pressing environmental concerns.
Randy Thompson, representing Prince George North Cariboo, brings a lifelong passion for nature and a dedication to challenging corporate control over BC’s resources. His commitment to community values and intelligent forestry practices reflects the party’s principles of sustainability and social justice.
